Sorry it was turned sideways somehow. We were actually treed 1357 yds according to the Garmin, thats from where he struck. He was already 320 in when he struck. Every time i explain that we walked a long ways i always say well we were a thousand and ten yards in there and.... Enjoy! 'PR' Asuits Night Train Old Dan DNA-P 2014 Performance Sire.
Thx
quick, easy way to remove the tail hairs...thanks..
Just curious, what kind of vice grips are you using and what size?
Use a drill and a paint mixer
My cat has eaten 2 baby squirrels in our house and left the tails for me. Is it ok if I leave the bones in? I can’t bring myself to mess with them much, although I have washed them in warm/hot soapy dawn water and bleach.
Great video, thank you!
thanks for the information!
Excellent jod nice tail keep hunting
I would not use the salt just use the sodium bicarbonate
Can you cut it open to make it bigger
If you put your lick on a tree stump it is better for the deer and particularly antler growth. Great recipe I am going to try this one out
I keep watching these videos , but they never show the deer being attracted to the area
Use fine stock salt.. $7 for 50lbs LOL Good video.
Just picked up a roadkill red squirrel at a bus stop, my mom wants me to make her a squirrel tail key chain and I kind of assumed you'd just cut the tail off and put it in salt! Glad I didn't go with my intuition haha
You're not far off. You can use salt/borax to cure a tail with the bone still in it.
thank you for this mate! it helped a ton👌
kinda wanted to hear more about how u preserve it too
They do sell big bags of dried molasses for animal feed; tried it once and the whole hollow wafted in sweet molasses!
Great camera work.........
You should do a refreshed site with a new video and put a trail camera on it to show the activity
Them bottles of molasses in NY would be $5-$6 apiece
ENCON will hunt you down!! LMAO King Kuomo needs the money!! Get a hold of Buck Jam Persimmon, cattle mineral, fine stock salt and trace mineral salt (ratio 1:1:2) mix it on site and then pour the Jam over it. I know, deer in the People's Republic of New Yorkastan have no clue what persimmons are.. But they LOVE BJ Persimmon.. I heard that from a friend ;)
id love to see a tutorial on how to make some slippers for my daughter if you wanna give it a try before i do haha
subbed. what state? NH here
Thank You for showing how its done... You should respect nature though. Squirrels are one of our closest relatives - you should respect thém !
Delicious
What state are you in
you remind me of Bubba from forest gump
Why don't you pour it on a stump so the deer don't have to eat dirt. Good video.
Now What the f... kind of degree do you have giving you the right to teach people how to feed wild animals when you have absolutely no idea the side effects of the crap you're feeding the deer. Don't feed the wild life red neck!
STFU
James W Hillbilly science.
I did this today, my fookin cat killed one so I'm keeping a collection of her kills
You have done well. Ty.
I like youre attitude.need more folks like you.good huntin from arkansas!
Hot boiling water. Mmmmmmm. But it was a good and informative videos I gave a like.
Nicely dune
One thing ive always found good for pulling the tails off and is easy to carry around is a clothespin
Nice
My grandson and I found a squirrel half eaten on the ground. The tail was separate so we kept it. How do I take care of it to save it for him? Do I need to clean it with something before he can handle it?
Whole lot harder to get the bone out at this point. You can, just trim the skin off the bone until you can peel the tail back then hold the bone with visegrips, put a clothespin around the bone and use it as a handle to pull the tail down and off. Or you can just leave the bone in, salt/borax the opening and hang it to dry for a couple weeks
Buy him a .22 and make him hunt one
Just like mixing tea brother
Another video with a trail cam set up to show if it works or not!
1:00-1:37
So you don't have to do anything to it to preserve it? I'm salting a squirrel hide right now but I want to preserve the tail too..should I split it open to salt the inside and then sew it back up?
👍
This is freaking legit! Thanks!!!
Can't the deer just lift the fencing straight up?
No ingredient in this video is good for your deer herd.
Pard , my place isn't but 70 acres. My herd is a community herd. Maybe like me he doesn't have hundreds or thousands of acres to develop and build up a herd.
Why do you still your mixture up with a drill and a paint stirrer , would be a lot easier. It would churn up everything including the apple concentrate and syrup. You could even re mix it when you get to the woods and spot you place it with a cordless drill and paint stirrer.
why not use a drill with paint mixer
Thanks man preserving my first right now
How did it turn out?
pretty good dude i was able to use the vice grip pliers and degloved the tail, put it in some salt and borax and it is still drying a bit but I did tie a bass jig with some of the hair already, now I just have to catch something with it! thanks again for the tutorial
@@Wissahickonwild I have one on the back of my hat lol
That's very impressive, I'll have to try that next time I kill one.
Will sun-drying it make it hard?
subbed
One thing can u kill a wolf
